Our Head Instructor

Sarah

Sarah Belcher received her 200-hour training with Red Skies Yoga in 2019 and in 2022, she received her 300-hour certification with School Yoga Institute in Guatemala. She continued her education in Bali, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua. It is her intention to create a safe space that encourages her students to explore their own authenticity by nurturing minds, bodies, and spirits through the practices of yoga, meditation, and holistic health. During a class with Sarah, you can expect to find a meditative, powerful flow with an emphasis on breathwork and meditation. Her goal is that you leave each class feeling refreshed, balanced, strong, and inspired.

Offering a variety of styles, yoga at Stone can both improve your climbing and deepen your yoga practice.

Ashtanga

The primary series of Ashtanga yoga is a precise sequence of postures, linked together with Vinyasa sequences.

This form of yoga is designed to purify and heal the body. The primary series builds willpower, improves focus and mind-body awareness. The progression of postures promotes both strength and flexibility. It begins with forward folds, moving on to twists, hip openers, and back bends. It is said this practice has significant benefits on several levels including mental, physical, and energetically.

vinyasa flow

Vinyasa is a style of yoga focused on combining meditative movements to breathing exercises.

Unlike other classes, Vinyasa has the freedom to experience a different flow every class. The nature of this class is designed to build a more balanced body and calm mind. Vinyasa yoga will help improve your balance, increase flexibility and mobility, boost metabolism, create energy and strength as well as decrease anxiety and stress levels. Whether you are an experienced yoga practitioner or beginning your yoga journey, Vinyasa is beneficial for anyone looking to deepen their knowledge of yoga and self-awareness.

Yin / restorative

No matter your experience level, age, mobility or flexibility range, most can practice and benefit from a Yin or Restorative practice.

It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. In a Yin class, poses are held for a longer period of time giving you the opportunity to stretch and lengthen those rarely used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts. If you’re looking for an after climb/ calm release, to ease tired, sore muscles and relief tension, this is the class for you.
